SUPPLIER & ENTERPRISE DEVELOPMENT
Zamdec Consulting facilitates the empowerment and development of small and emerging suppliers and enterprises in line with the supplier and enterprise development requirements as per the BBBEE codes and the client’s procurement and supply chain policies.
Methodology Used to Develop Suppliers and Enterprises: The following is a step by step process used to develop small and emerging enterprises in order to ensure that the organization’s requirements are met, BBBEE audit verification process is fully satisfied, a successful program and client satisfaction.
Client Requirements
It is imperative that the requirements of the client are taken into consideration when selecting the EMEs to be part of the program.
Identification of Emerging Enterprises (EME)
The client, together with Zamdec Consulting, will make the final selection of the emerging enterprise or the supplier based on perceived capability to meet the client’s objectives.
Verification of Ownership and Other Company Documents
The ownership and other details of the selected enterprise to be developed, will be verified in line with the requirements of the BBBEE codes, enabling the client to receive maximum benefits from the initiative
Contractual Obligation
Zamdec Consulting will facilitate a tripartite agreement between the client, Zamdec Consulting and the EME stipulating the funding, support and the expectations from all parties
Detailed Enterprise or Supplier Gap / Needs Analysis
A detailed needs analysis is carried out on the EME. This is done against the client’s vendor criteria and the BBBEEE codes. The EME future plans are considered when doing the needs analysis
Milestones
A list of deliverables and milestones are agreed upon by Zamdec Consulting and the EME. The client can have sight of this where necessary
Development Schedules
A schedule of events and interventions is formalized
Agreeing with Client or Sponsor on the Suggested Process
All three parties sign a development program and the schedule of events
Roll Out Process
A program launch.
Set Up the Administration and EME Support Process
Administration is essential to the success of this process. Zamdec Consulting will facilitate effective administration systems to support this
Evaluation of EME Progress
he EME’s progress is continuously tracked and monitored
Reports
Provide the client with the necessary reports on progress timeously
Portfolio of Evidence
This is made available to the client during and at the end of the program for each EME
Support to the Client
All the necessary documentation required for the BEE audit and the client's annual financial audit is available timeously to the client.
Ensure Client Satisfaction
The client has an opportunity to evaluate the effectiveness of the program on an ongoing basis
The success of the program is evaluated based on the following criteria:
- The EME evaluates the program and provides a report to the client as part of our continuous improvement process.
- Zamdec Consulting evaluates and provides a report to the client based on the impact made to the EME, with regards to the following:
– Increased profits.
− Increased workload.
− Impact on staff compliment.
− Recognition for performance and quality.
− Was the EME able to successfully participate in the client’s supply chain processes?
